About a year ago I was dealing with a lot of negative emotions, stress and stuck emotions, luckily a practitioner I know and trust offered to help work with me using The Havening Techniques. It really worked! I wanted to learn more about how it shifted me from being stuck to getting into action. This weekend I took the Havening training with the founders, Ron and Steven Ruden and Harry Pickens. Dr. Ronald Ruden is the creator of The Havening Techniques. Over the last three decades he has translated the recent advances in neuroscience into new methods of healing. Havening Techniques® is a method, which is designed to change the brain to de-traumatize the memory and remove its negative effects from both our psyche and body. As part of its protocol The Havening Techniques uses the sensory input of human touch as a therapeutic tool which we have identified as Havening Touch®. The process of the Havening Technique requires touch. The decision of who should provide the touch must be made jointly. “When an event or experience is perceived as traumatic or very stressful it becomes immutably encoded, often with life-altering consequences. However, recent research from the field of neuroscience has shown us how it’s possible to modify this encoding. The Havening Techniques are methods which are designed to change the brain to de-traumatize the memory and permanently remove its negative effects from both our psyche and body.” ~ Ronald A. Ruden, M.D., Ph.D. This weekend I watched and participated in folks letting go of traumas that have been with them their whole lives and get freed up from that pain! It was amazing! This simple process uses the power of touch, attention and imagination to heal emotional (and often, physical) pain that has seemed unresolvable.
Havening can help:
